Remembering the Titanic

Published April 1, 2012

It has been a century since the Titanic sunk. Since then hundreds of tributes, visitor centres, memorials and even a Hollywood film have been made in memory of the doomed ocean liner.

Here are images from different Titanic artificats, museums and attractions that have sprung up over the years, including the newly opened Titanic House Visitor Centre. This $158 million building opened on March 31 to the public in Belfast, birthplace of the Titanic, and is housed in the same shipyard where the ocean liner was completed.

To mark the 100 years since the sinking of the ship a complete collection of artifacts recovered from the wreck site will be auctioned by Guernsey's Auction House in April. – Photos by Agencies
