ATTOCK, March 31: Female students of private institutes bagged top three positions in middle and primary standard examination across the district.

The executive district officer (EDO) Education Attock Dr Umar Farooq while announcing the results at his office here on Saturday said Maliha Malik of Fatehjang Grammar School stood first in middle standard examination by scoring 728 out of the total 800 marks, while Mehmoodul Hassan of Fauji Foundation Model School Pindigheb scoring 721 marks and Asma Arif of Fatehjang Grammar School obtaining 720 marks stood second and third, respectively.

The EDO also announced that in middle standard examination, total 24,072 students appeared out of which 20,517 were declared successful and the pass percentage remained nearly 85 per cent.

Similarly, in the primary standard examination, Maryam Noor of Fauji Foundation School Pindigheb scored 572 out of total 600 marks and bagged first position in the district, while Laiba Qazi of Iqra Model School Kot Chajji got second position with 547 marks and Fasiha Manzoor of Star Public School Aurangabad stood third scoring 544 marks.

Total 29,144 students appeared in the exam, 25,797 were declared successful and the pass percentage stood around 88 per cent.
