LAHORE, March 30: The Racecourse police registered counter FIRs in Zeba Khan, alias Sapna Khan, kidnap case, one against former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa for allegedly kidnapping and murdering his actress wife Sapna on the complaint of her father, and the other against her own relatives on the complaint of Khosa.

An FIR was registered against Khosa and his accomplices Sajjad Ahmad, Dawood Butt, Muhammad Fahim, Rana Tanveer Javed, Yaseen and driver Shahid under Section 364 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of Misal Khan, a resident of Johar Town. While, an FIR against Sapna's father, her brothers Amin and Faisal Khan and a woman, Sana Khan, was registered under sections 365, 471, 420 and 461 of the PPC on the complaint of Khosa.

Both Khosa and Khan and their accomplices are accused of kidnapping and killing Sapna at almost same timings.

Khan and Khosa had been levelling allegations against each other during the last five or so months.

Both the parties first approached the police for lodging cases against each other and then they moved the sessions court.

Finally, the Lahore High Court intervened and issued directions to the police to register case against Khosa four days ago. The court had also ordered investigation of the case by a senior police officer.

The actress is, however, still missing and the case is likely to be a very difficult one for the investigators.

In FIR against Khosa, Khan alleged that the former chief minister married his daughter Sapna on June 2, 2010, but the family was unaware of the said marriage. Khosa would torture his daughter who, in the meanwhile, gave birth to a girl on Feb 28, 2011.He alleged that on June 22, his son Faisal dropped Sapna at the GOR residence of Khosa and since then she was missing. Khan alleged that Khosa had kidnapped his daughter with an intention to kill her.

While, Khosa in his FIR alleged that he had divorced Sapna on June 19, 2011, owing to family disputes. She went to her family on June 17 and since then he was unaware of her whereabouts.

He said her family hatched a conspiracy and kidnapped her to blackmail him (the former chief minister) and to mint money from him.

He alleged that Khan presented fake birth certificate of Sapna and committed forgery as well. He said the police should arrest her family members and recover the kidnapped actress to bring facts to the public.
