Accused remanded

PESHAWAR, March 24: An anti-terrorism court here on Saturday remanded a suspect, charged in the alleged gang rape case in Karak, in police custody for three days.

The court presided over by Mr Asghar Ali Shah directed the investigation officer concerned to produce the suspect, Shakeel, after three days.

The officer informed the court that Mr Shakeel was arrested a day before and had been charged by the victim, Ms Uzma Ayub, in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. He stated that the suspect was required to the police for interrogation. —Bureau
