LAHORE, Dec 4: Mian Muhammad Azhar will complete his term as president of the PML-Q set by party’s general council, provincial secretary-general Arshad Khan Lodhi said on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters at an Iftar hosted by information secretary Kamil Ali Agha at the Muslim League House, he said all party decisions were being taken in consultation with Mian Azhar. The PML-Q president, he said, also offered his advice where necessary.

Chaudhry Shaukat Abbas, Mian Meraj Din, Khwaja Riaz Mahmood, Azam Cheema, Saifullah Chattha, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Ms Nasim Lodhi and Kanwal Nasim were also present.

Arshad Lodhi said PML-Q MPAs who had rendered services for the party would be given priority in the formation of provincial cabinet. However, members of the PPP forward bloc would also be accommodated according to the requirements of the situation.

About reports that the Sharifs could return home in the near future, Lodhi said they would have to face the legal process.
