ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Sherry Rehman on Wednesday said that no compromise would be made on country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The recommendations made by the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) during the joint session of the Parliament had clearly indicated that no bargaining would be made on Pakistan's territorial integrity.

Talking to Voice of America, she said all the national institutions of the country are on the same page on the foreign policy.

She said that United States and Pakistan need to understand each other's point of view on the new terms of engagement and the formulation of the policy.

Rehman said that the will of the people and legitimacy need to be maintained in the bilateral relations of both the countries.

She said that in the past, both the countries had faced distrust in the mutual relations, adding, mutual relations would be maintained on transparent basis.

She stated that Pakistan wanted peace in the region as well as in Afghanistan and the US had the great will to maintain peace to avoid instability in the whole region.

Replying to another question, she said that there are broad goals, which need mutual sharing and roadmap for success.
