HYDERABAD, Dec 4: An under-trial prisoner, facing murder charge, escaped from the Liaquat University Hospital here at Sehri time on Tuesday.

The UTP, Shabbir Ahmed, was shifted from the Central Prison here to medicine ward of the hospital a couple of days back as he was profusely bleeding.

On Tuesday, he escaped with the alleged connivance of the policemen on guard duty.

The Market police have registered a case against head constable Sawan Khan Hajano, Ghulam Nabi Dahri, Ghulam Mehdi Shah and Mohammad Qasim, and have also arrested the first two accused while the two others have absconded.

Shabbir was chargesheeted by the Cantonment police under section 302, PPC, and 13-D.
