HYDERABAD: The head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) said that Sindhi Intellectuals should come forward to blur the line between old and new Sindhi's in the province.

He was addressing, via telephone, a large gathering at Bagh-e-Mustafa ground in Hyderabad on the 28th anniversary of the foundation of MQM.

Altaf Hussain also appealed for the equal rights of all the provinces in Pakistan.

"My only fault was to give a place for the poor people among rich industrialists and I am the only leader who refused to sell," he said.

Speaking about Balochistan, he said that rights for the people of Balochistan should be granted along with the other provinces. He said that MQM wants to eliminate the decaying system of feudalism in the country and urged the people not to vote for landlords in the next general elections.

The MQM chief congratulated President Zardari upon his fifth address to the parliament. He vowed to eliminate the word of “minority” if it will come to power. Altaf Hussain also urged Sindhis to join MQM.
