Robber arrested

TAXILA, March 16: Police on Friday arrested a robber as he tried to snatch a motorcycle from a man in limits of Taxila police station.

Police sources said a four-member gang had stopped a motorcycle rider named Tariq on Jameelabad link road, and were trying to snatch his vehicle. When he resisted, one of the robbers open fired which hit his own gang member. At this the robbers fled, leaving the injured man behind.

The people of the area overpowered the accused who was later identified as Ahmedullah, an Afghan. Taxila police registered a case and launched hunt for the other three gang members. — Correspondent
