ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah on Wednesday assured the National Assembly that the government would provide full protection to the lives and properties of minorities.

Replying to a Point of Order, he said that steps were being taken to ensure protection to minorities' lives and properties. He assured the House that strict action would be taken against those involved in kidnapping of three Hindu women in Sindh.

Earlier, Munawar Lal MNA, on a Point of Order said that the minorities in Sindh were confronted with various problems. He said that a woman Rinkal Kumari was kidnapped from Mailpur, Mathelo while an FIR of the incident was also not registered.

He said that later on, after a protest, the FIR was registered.
