KARACHI: Pakistan’s top tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, who had initially shown his reluctance to feature in the upcoming Davis Cup tie against the Philippines in Manila, has now confirmed his availability for the clash.

Aisam has confirmed his availability for the upcoming Davis Cup tie against the Philippines, to be played from April 6-8 in Manila, a Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) release said on Tuesday.

The tie was originally scheduled to be played in Pakistan but the International Tennis Federation (ITF) moved the venue to Manila citing security concerns in Pakistan.

The PTF reportedly has filed an appeal against the decision of the ITFs Davis Cup Committee.
