KARACHI, March 9: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Friday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate part-II (Class XII), science (pre-medical group) supplementary examination-2012.

The statistics released by board shows that in all 4,747 candidates (1,204 boys and 2,543 girls) appeared in the examination and 2,006 (563 boys and 1,443 girls) of them passed it.

None of the candidates could secure A-1 grade while only six candidates (two boys and four girls) passed the exam in A grade. Among others, 131 candidates (23 boys and 108 girls) secured B grade, 874 (158 boys and 716 girls) C grade, 948 (345 boys and 603 girls) D grade and 43 candidates (32 boys and 11 girls) passed it in E grade.

The pass percentage stood at 42.26.

According to the BIEK controller of examinations, M. Imran Chishtie, the results of the supplementary exams pertaining to the remaining groups, including science (pre-engineering) and commerce, will be declared within a week.
