Rehearsal for attack in Qatar

DOHA, Dec 3: Hundreds of US Central Command officers were preparing in Qatar on Tuesday to test-run what could be the nerve centre of a possible invasion of Iraq.

Exercise Internal Look, due to start next week, is a major war game designed to test command, control and communications in case of America’s second major clash with Iraq.

The tiny emirate bordering Saudi Arabia has not said whether Washington has formally requested use of its facilities.
