KARACHI, Dec 3: Three ships carrying containers and tallow are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Trade Selene, Kota Wijaya, MOL Sincerity to unload and load containers, Maple Galaxy, to unload palm oil and Pergamos to load molasses were berthed.

Three ships, Iwato, Kota Wijaya and Maple Galaxy sailed out, while Iron-D and Trade Selene are due to depart on Wednesday.

Berth occupancy both at the oil piers and the dry wharves was maintained on the higher side at 67 and 74 per cent respectively.

A total tonnage of 0.115m tons comprising 20.467 tons of export cargo and 94,150 tons of import tonnage including 51,099 tons of oil was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Botany Treasure, with 8,000 tons of tallow, Clement, with oils and APL Cairo, with containers.
