IT was a horrible scene of an innocent girl lying in a pool of blood. I left for my office early morning on March 6 when about 100 yards away from my home, I saw the body of a 16- or 17- year-old girl who had been killed with a gunshot in her head.
She was one of our neighbour’s family members. She became a victim of some family dispute. It was an act of barbarism that she was murdered in her own house. Later, her body was dumped almost 150 yards from the spot of murder.
However, the police have done the post-mortem examination. But who is going to provide justice to the poor family?
The authorities concerned must look into the matter and bring those responsible for the crime to justice so that innocent people may not be treated with cruelty and injustice.
