LAHORE, Feb 25: A middle-age man was tortured to death allegedly by his son over a property dispute in Madina Town in Ghaziabad here on Saturday.

Ghaziabad police said suspect Baber Butt initially pretended that robbers had killed his father Munir Shahid Butt, but later confessed to his offence.

Police investigation revealed that Munir and Baber fell out with each other after the former stopped the latter from selling his property in Ghaziabad and adjacent localities.

The exchange of harsh words led to a scuffle and Baber critically injured his father with kicks and fits. Munir, who worked in a foreign country and invested in property, later died at a hospital due to excessive bleeding.

The accused told the police that wanted to sell his mother’s property.
