LAHORE, Feb 22: A seven-member Pakistan weightlifting team besides four stand-bys was named here on Wednesday for the 1st South Asian Championship, to be held in Nepal from March 21 to 25.

The team was selected after holding trials at the Railways Stadium here on Tuesday.

Team: Khurram Shahzad (Wapda). Mohammad Irfan (Wapda). Mustaqeem Mahmood Butt (HEC). Tahir Ahmad (Wapda).

105kg: Mohammad Shahzad (Wapda). Imran Ismail (HEC), Abu Sufyan (Railways).

Stand-bys: Yasir Ali (HEC), Sajid Rasool (Railways), Zohaib Manzoor (Railways) Mohammad Tahir.

Mushtaq Ahmed and Abdul Aziz Khan will accompany the team as coach and manager, respectively.
