ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court was informed on Tuesday that the 20th Amendment has been passed by both houses of the Parliament and the bill has been forwarded to the president for final approval.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz legislator and Advocate Naseer Bhutta informed this to a three-member bench which resumed hearing of a case regarding suspension of membership of 28 parliamentarians who were elected in by-polls after the 18th Amendment.

Bhutta told the bench that after signature of the president, the bill will be presented in the court.

The bench, however, remarked that it would decide about restoration of membership of 28 lawmakers after the final approval of the amendment.

Further hearing of the case was adjourned till February 29.
