KARACHI: Acting governor

KARACHI, Dec 1: The Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad, took oath on Sunday as acting governor of Sindh in the absence of Governor Mohammedmian Soomro, who has gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

The Senior Judge of the Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, administered the oath to the acting governor at a simple ceremony in the Governor’s House.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by provincial ministers, the chief secretary and other senior officials.—APP
