Bingo! Ajoka Theatre is back with some of its old literary zeal, not that it was sorely missing. From Feb 13, the group, in collaboration with the Lahore Arts Council, is presenting Rozan-i-Zindan Se, a theatrical production based on the letters written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz and his wife Alys to each other during the former’s imprisonment days. The letters are selected and edited by Shahid Nadeem while Madeeha Gauhar has directed the play which will be staged at Alhamra, The Mall.

Hope the production will do justice to the literary flair of the husband-wife mode of communication. —PYT
