Dacoit released on bail kills farmer

SAHIWAL, Nov 30: A dacoit released on bail from the Central Jail a day ago shot dead a farmer and injured his brother seriously on Saturday in Chak 82/6-R.

Naseer Sindhi along with his six accomplices, including Imran and Irshad, shot dead Mian Jaffar Hussain and wounded critically his brother Mian Sadiq.

Police had arrested Naseer and his accomplice on the information provided by Mian Jaafar. The arrested were involved in various cases of crimes which they had confessed during the interrogation.

Fateh Sher police have registered a case against the absconding outlaws.

CANCELLED: PPP district president Mehr Ghulam Farid Kathia on Saturday cancelled the basic membership of party leaders who joined the forward bloc.

Party leaders whose memberships have been cancelled are: Federal Petroleum and Natural Resource Minister Chaudhry Naurez Shakoor Khan, MPA Pir Walayat Shah Khagga, MPA Muhammad Arshad Jat and MPA Rana Aftab Ahmed.

Recommendations in this regard were sent to Punjab PPP president Qasim Zia, he said.

WARRANTS: A local court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for an advocate’s clerk for giving a fake ‘fard’ of property to an accused for his bail.

Witness Mehr Mushtaq, already arrested, was consigned to jail.

Allah Bachayo Chandio was sent to jail on Sept 14, 1998, for kidnapping and selling girls in the interior Sindh. Clerk Muhammad Ashraf managed a fake ‘fard’ of property and offered surety for the bail of Chandio.
