I WOULD like to draw the attention of the department concerned to a public problem. A dangerous pit in the middle of the road of the National Highway has been created due to some leakage in the underground water pipeline opposite the Quaid-i-Azam Park in Steel Town, Karachi.

As I go to the university daily, I am witness to a number of accidents that occurred there in the last three weeks. It is unfortunate that no one has far bothered to take any remedial action in this regard. It is very dangerous, specially during the night. The authorities concerned should repair the road without further loss of time.
