KARACHI, Nov 30: The All-Pakistan Minorities’ Alliance has demanded of the government to convene the session of the Sindh Assembly immediately.

The provincial APMA chief and a former Sindh Assembly member, Salim Khursheed Khokhar, on Saturday, criticized the government for postponing the session and said that the regime was trying to pave the way for its favourites in the house to continue manoeuvring for the formation of a government.

He said that people of Sindh felt deceived when they saw that the sessions of the NWFP, Punjab and Balochistan assemblies had already been held and two of the provinces had even elected their chief ministers, while the session of the Sindh Assembly was postponed indefinitely for the second time.

He termed the postponement a denial of accepting the people’s will and said that the masses had given their verdict in the general elections as to who should serve them in the province and that the government should accept the mandate of the people.

The APMA leader urged the government to immediately convene the Assembly session and let the people’s representatives perform their duties and solve the people’s problems.
