KARACHI, Nov 30: A meeting here on Saturday reviewed the projects of information technology and other related activities.
It discussed the issues relating to the establishment of IT centre, e-government pilot project for the government of Sindh (phase-I), information technology for students and jobless graduates and government employees, provincial portal and website for government of Sindh and establishment of an information technology university in Karachi.
Besides, establishment of rural community internet centres, district government management information system, IT centres in the education department, Indus technology park (Site), Larkana information technology park, e-government for the finance department, IT infrastructure of the city government Karachi,
completion of balance civil works and modification of KCC-III building to house the information technology university and e-government was discussed.
The meeting was informed that the science and technology cell was engaged in execution of four development projects besides implementing 18 development projects in the province. The current year’s development budget was stated to be Rs110.00 million.
The meeting, presided over by director information technology board, was attended by Syed Asim Zafar, Aftab Alam, Abdul Fateh Tunia, Mohammad Ali Khaskhely, Syed Zaheer Qadri, Shakeel Pathan, Mohammad Ali Tagar and others.—PPI
