KARAK, Jan 30: The leaders of Qaumi Committee Ghol Banda on Monday staged a protest demonstration against what they called government’s decision to reduce height of the dam being built in the area. They demanded that area should be supplied with water from the dam.

The meeting also alleged that the length of the canals had also been decreased and now hardly 200 acres of lands would be irrigated. The meeting was informed that in the PC-I, 2,000 acres of land was to be irrigated from the dam, alleging the drinking water supply scheme has also not been mentioned in the new plan.
