SIALKOT, Nov 27: Kidnappers have demanded Rs10 million as ransom for the release of a local exporter who was kidnapped from Sialkot-Eminabad Road on Tuesday.

The kidnappers made several telephone calls to the family of Muhammad Latif on Thursday and demanded ransom for his release.

Meanwhile, local chamber of commerce and industry’s acting president Muhammad Sadiq Goraya and vice-president Ashraf Malik have expressed concern over rising incidents of kidnapping.

They said the police had miserably failed in providing protection to exporters. They demanded early recovery of the exporter.
