Medina wins IBF title

LAS VEGAS (Nevada), Nov 17: Mexico’s Manuel Medina won the International Boxing Federation featherweight title here Friday when his fight against American Frankie Toledo was stopped in the sixth round.

The fight ended when Toledo told the ringside doctor he couldn’t see out of a cut eye. He suffered the cut in the third round on a head-butt.

Medina captured the the title for the fourth time, and took his record to 59 victories with 11 defeats.

Toledo suffered his sixth defeat, against 40 victories and one draw.—AFP
