CM’s election on 29th

LAHORE, Nov 25: The next session of the Punjab Assembly has been summoned for Nov 29 for the election of chief minister.

The announcement to this effect was made through a notification by the Punjab Assembly here on Monday evening.

The session which began on Monday will be prorogued after the election of the speaker and deputy speaker on Wednesday.

The notification said the new session had been convened through an order by the president. The session of the NWFP Assembly has also been convened on the same date and for the same purpose.

According to the presidential order, the assemblies will meet on Nov 29 for the ascertainment of the member who commands the confidence of the majority of the members of the respective provincial assembly, immediately after which the assemblies shall be prorogued.
