PESHAWAR, Nov 25: The City District Council, Nazim Azam Afridi, has said that city district government is in contact with the provincial government to resolve the issue of fixation of sugarcane price and hoped that provincial government would take immediate steps to resolve the issue amicably.

He told a delegation led by chairman finance committee, city district assembly, Israrullah Advocate which called on him on Monday at his office in connection with the problems of the sugarcane growers, the Nazim further said that he is well aware of the seriousness of the problem and would make all efforts for amicable solution of the problem.

Earlier, highlighting the problems of the sugarcane growers, the chairman  of the finance committee, Israrullah advocate, informed the Nazim that undue delay in resolving the issue might create panic in the farming community.—Bureau Report
