ABBOTTABAD, Nov 17: The administration of Ayub Medical College has notified that regular classes have resumed from 12th.
The college was closed down after strikes in the aftermath of Sept 11 attacks in America and bombing of Afghanistan.
SEMINAR:Former foreign secretary, Akram Zaki, has said US attacks on Afghanistan is a ‘state terrorism’ against innocent citizens which must stop immediately.
Speaking as chief guest at a one-day seminar here at Press Club the other day, he termed the attacks an unjustified act.
Crticizing the foreign policy, Mr Zaki said the government should have taken all parties and groups into confidence before making any decision, which, he said was a wasteful attempt.
He said Pakistan had been used against Afghanistan and predicted that after the US achieved its objects, Pakistan would be left with no choice and would pay higher cost in different ways.
He opined that the solution of Afghan crisis was a political one and not the armed one.
Commenting on the damage caused to Pakistan, he said our rulers had failed to evolve a sound policy and the country could not get back its economy on wheels as the loss would cross US dollars five billion.
