ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday night.

Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that President Karzai inquired about the health of President Zardari, expressed satisfaction that the president had recovered and conveyed best wishes of the government and people of Afghanistan.

Issues of bilateral interest also came under discussion. President Zardari also thanked President Karzai for his gesture.
