ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Babar Awan on Sunday condemned Shah Mahmood Qureshi's allegation that Pakistan's nuclear assets were not safe.

He said that the nuclear assets were in safe hands and the country's national command and control system was one of the best in the world.

Babar Awan said that in fact President Asif Ali Zardari had transferred the national command and control of nuclear assets to the country's    chief executive through the Parliament.

He said that the statement against President Zardari, who is son-in-law of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who gave the nuclear system to Pakistan, was condemnable.
