NOWSHERA: A man was burnt to death and another suffered serious burn injuries when a gas cylinder of a pick-up van burst at a filling station in Pabbi area on Friday.

The Pabbi police station said the victim, Asfandyar Bacha, son of Ahmad Said, resident of Bakhshali, Mardan, was working as salesman in the CNG filling station. Asfandyar received critical burnt injuries and died on the spot.

The pick-up driver, Irfan, son of Muneer, also suffered burnt injuries. He was shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar.

BODY FOUND: The body of a man was found abandoned near Shaidu village on Friday.

Police said the body had bullet marks in the head. He was identified as Alam Shah, 36, son of Faiq Shah, resident of Nizampur.

The police recovered the body and sent it to the DHQ hospital, Nowshera, for autopsy.

The Akora Khattak police registered FIR against unidentified accused and started investigation.

INJURED: Four people were seriously injured in a clash over a children dispute at Risalpur.

The police said three persons, Sarfaraz, his father Saifur Rehman and wife Laila were seriously injured when the two groups clashed. Another man, Raj Wali, from the rival group also sustained injuries.

The Risalpur police registered case against 14 persons of both groups.

ARRESTED: The FIA arrested the owner of a printing press for allegedly printing fake degrees and other documents at Jehangira.

Police said FIA raided Afzal Printing Press at Jehangira and arrested Afzal and Ajmal, residents of Jehangira. They were allegedly involved in printing fake driving licences, educational degrees and passports. They were shifted to Peshawar for interrogation. — Correspondent
