CNG shutdown in Sindh, Balochistan

KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) will shut down gas supply to CNG stations in Karachi, interior Sindh and Balochistan for 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday, December 21 till 9 am on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

According to the SSGC announcement here Tuesday, the decision has been taken in view of the continuing gas shortage and as per the recent ECC decision.

The decision to discontinue gas to the CNG stations on a periodic basis follows an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply in Karachi and interior Sindh.

SSGC said that while the customers are faced with an acute situation, the company is taking all measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
