PESHAWAR, Nov 21: Local Minibus Owners Association’s President Yousaf Shah has expressed his concern over the severe rush and traffic jams and said the government has failed to control the situation.

In a statement, he stressed that the government should pay attention to the transport conditions, because of which rush on the roads was increasing.

He said the minibuses did not go to their stands and turned back on the roads, which caused traffic jams at important places.

He refuted the allegations that the Hayatbad bus stand contractor was receiving excessive charges from the transporters. The contractor, Khawaja Abdul Fattah, said only due charges are being received.—PPI
