PESHAWAR: Police carried out an operation on Tuesday and arrested a high-ranking militant leader from the Dir area, DawnNews reported.

According to sources, a raid was carried out Tuesday in District Nowshera's Jahangirabad town from where the wanted militant leader Ameer Ullah was arrested.

Ameer Ullah, who was known to be was a high-ranking militant belonging to Dir, was later shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
