LAHORE, Nov 19: A five-wicket haul by pacer Tanvir Ahmed and impressive half-centuries by Saeed bin Nasir and Mohammad Hafeez propelled PCB Reds to their fourth consecutive victory in the Super League One-day Ramazan Cup Cricket Tournament here Tuesday.
Tanvir, named Man-of-the-Match, captured five for 33 as PCB Reds defeated PCB Greens by six wickets at Gaddafi Stadium.
PCB Reds made light work of their target of 182 as they lost just four wickets and won the match with 4.2 overs to spare.
After Test opener Imran Nazir fell cheaply, Hafeez and Saeed came together in a second-wicket stand worth 141. Saeed hit seven fours and one six in his 110-ball 79. Hafeez laced his 60 off 116 balls with six boundaries.
Pacer Jaffar Nazir finished with three for 27.
Earlier, PCB Greens, who were sent into bat, squandered a solid start when they reached 106 for three in 28 overs. The last seven wickets crashed for 75 runs in 19 overs with Tanvir doing the main damage.
