Tenants protest against arrests

OKARA, Nov 19: The tenants of military farms on Tuesday protested against the Cantt police which did not release two people, despite promises, who were arrested four days ago.

It is reported that police arrested Fakhar and Hamid of 10/4-L without any charge. On the protest of the representatives of the tenants, they promised to release them.

Tenants held a protest meeting late Monday night in the village and demanded immediate release of the two. They threatened that they would start protest campaign if they were not released.

SSP Aslam Tareen said both the arrested men were wanted by police.

WOMAN CHEAT: A case was registered against a woman impostor on Tuesday.

Zakia Jehangir introduced herself as a major of Pakistan army’s secret service and set up her office in Chak 44/SP Valtoia.

She received Rs40,000 from one Mumtaz Chishti to help him get a job for his son and disappeared.
