LAHORE, Nov 26: Three-year-old thoroughbred colt Royal Baker looks set to complete a hat-trick of victories during the 13th Lahore Winter Meeting at the Racecourse here on Sunday.

Participating in the sixth and feature event, the Zaheeruddin Mohammad Babar Cup, Royal Baker has to his credit two facile wins and is on song to register a hat-trick to present trainer Abdul Rasheed his seventh winner of this season.

Since the race is to be run over the middle distance of 1,600 metres, Royal Baker will be tested by challengers like four-year-old filly Starry Night and colt Final Destination.

The main supporting event, the Khalid Bin Waleed Cup to be contested over 1,400 metres has a field of 11 runners. On recent form and performance in races three of them seem to be on chance — Noble Act, Victory Boy and Desert Eagle.

Filly Noble Act looks the best, although she was beaten by Royal Baker in her last outing.

Three-year-old colt Agasi will be on the course to register his second successive victory although fillies Please Don’t Bet and Sweet Sorrow are also contesting in this race along with another speedy customer in Lady In Grey.
