HYDERABAD, Nov 18: Justice Mushir Alam of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here on Monday granted bail to a minority councillor of the union council-2, Shiva, in the murder case of his maternal nephew.

The Sakhi Pir police had booked Shiva and his brother, Faqiro, after Mawlo had been killed on June 11.

The applicant’s counsel, Qurban Ali H. Chohan, admitted at the SHC that a property dispute existed between Shiva and Mawlo, but added that his client did not kill him.

He said that the applicant was present in a scuffle, in which hot words were exchanged between Mawlo and Faqiro.

He said that later, Mawlo was killed and the killing was witnessed by Abdul Waheed, the councillor of UC-4.

He argued that Shiva could not be held responsible for the killing of Mawlo.

The bail was granted in a sum of Rs100,000.
