Boy killed, 17 injured in accident

DADU, Nov 17: A 12-year-old boy was killed and 17 persons were injured after a Mehar-bound wagon overturned and plunged into a ditch near here on Sunday.

The accident occurred at the Noorwah bridge, in which Imam Ali, 12, son of Haji Qambrani, died on the spot.

Those injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Dadu, where the condition of eight of them — Mohammad Ashraf, Shaman, Shakeel, Gulfam, Asima, Jameel, Nazeer and Asghar — was stated to be serious.

In another incident, 10 passengers were injured after a Dadu-bound wagon overturned on the Indus Highway near Mehar on Sunday.
