QUETTA, Nov 16: The parliamentary party leader of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam), Jam Mohammad Yousaf has demanded of the provincial governor to convene Balochistan Assembly session as he was enjoying majority.

Speaking at a press conference here on late Saturday evening, he claimed that he was enjoying the support of 36 members in the house of 65 while negotiation were in progress for mustering more support for the formation of provincial government.

“I got required support of the member for the formation of coalition government in Balochistan,” Jam Yousaf said adding that PML-Q was in a position to form its government in the province with the support of its allies.

He said though the PML-Q and its allies could form their government in the province but he wants a broad-based government in Balochistan for jointly resolving the problems of this backward province.

He said that in view of his broad-based government idea he was also holding negotiations with nationalist parties in this connection.

Jam Yousaf said parliamentary party leader of the Grand National Alliance would be elected in couple of days in the meeting expected to be held day after tomorrow in Quetta.

About his recent meeting with chief of the Jamhoori Watan Party, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, in Dera Bugti, he said that it was encouraging. “Meeting with Nawab Bugti remained very encouraging and we also discussed other issues of Balochistan,” Jam Yousaf said adding that Nawab Bugti is his elder and no body could ignore his importance in Balochistan’s politics.

“Nawab Bugti is our elder and we would continue to sought his guidance in future,” he said.

Jam Yousaf said that elimination of unemployment, maintaining law and order and reduction in the prices of daily use items would be his top priorities.
