LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 16: The people of Begu Khel showed their resentment over the negligence and lethargic attitude of the local police for not taking any interest in their case against some influential criminals.

According to a resident, Fazal Ahmad of Begu Khel, a village at some 6 kilometer away from here, has complained against local police for putting hurdles in his case against some influential persons of the village.

Fazal said the accused Aziz, Humayun, Jadoon and Toti Khan, along with their elders, threatened him and his relatives with AK 47-Assault rifles while they were constructing their new residence at Begu Khel adding that the accused demolished newly erected walls, took away some cons-truction material from the site including one main gate, which they pulled out from the walls, four one-wheel barrow, one water pump machine, four spades and some other articles with them on gun point.

He said that thousands of rupees loss was incurred to them. The effected lodged preliminary investigation report (FIR) number 45 on 15/9/2002, under sections 447/427/379/149 and 149 PPC against the accused and their leader Saifullah Khan.

The victims said that since the lodging of the FIR, the police has not taken any action against the criminals who are openly roaming in the area.

Fazal said he has appealed to the governor NWFP, Core Commander Peshawar and IGP NWFP to instruct the local police to arrest the accused and deliver us justice.
