Hill Park triumph

KARACHI, Nov 15: Hill Park CC won their opening match in the Ford & Lord Ramazan Cricket Tournament, beat-ng Afzal Sports by 31 runs Friday.

Having first use of the home wicket, Hill Park scored 164 for nine in their 20 allotted overs through Mohammad Zahid (31), Zafar Jadoon (26), Raja Aqab (23) and Haris Jawed (22). The wickets were shared by the Qureshi brothers. Left-arm Jafer bagged three for 23 and Babar picked up three for 28.

Afzal Sports were bowled out for 133 runs in 17.2 overs. Jafer (46) and Mohammad Jawed (21) were their main scorers. Leg-spinner Shakeel Anwer three for 19, Saeed Taimor two for 35 and paceman Humair Shafat two for 29 shared the wickets.

Saturday fixture:, Saddar Town v Emba Sports 1-30 p.m.
