BAGHDAD: Iraqi police and health officials say 18 people have been killed in twin bombings in Baghdad. Police say the blasts targeted a music store in a Shia neighborhood Thursday night.

Two people were killed in the initial explosion shortly after 7 p.m. local time.

Four minutes later, as people rushed to the scene, a second bomb exploded, police said. Additionally, 36 people were wounded in the attack.

A medic at Imam Hussein hospital confirmed the casualties. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to reporters.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
