HYDERABAD, Nov 14: The University of Sindh on Thursday announced the names of position holder students in various disciplines.

In M.Sc (hons), statistics, final semester examination of 2001, Shah Pisand, son of Qurban Ali Chandio, secured first position, Mohammad Asif, son of Riaz Ahmad Rajput, secured second and Nazar Mohammad, son of Niaz Mohammad Shahani, secured third position.

In M.Sc (hons), microbiology, final semester examination of 2001, Abqara Abida, daughter of Pir Bashir Ahmad Sarhandi, secured first position, Munaza Shairf, daughter of S. M. Sharif Farooqi, secured second and Fatima, daughter of Khalid Rajpar, secured third position.

Mahira Arif, daughter of Mohammad Arif Shaikh, secured first position, Nadia Parveen, daughter of Abdul Ghafoor Larik, secured second and Jaishri, daughter of Kirshan Mehraj, secured third position in B.Sc (hons), microbiology, part-III, semester examination of 2001.

In M.A (hons), mass communication, final semester examination of 2000, Mohammad Saleem, son of Muhram Ali Shaikh, secured first position and Fida Hussain, son of Ali Dino Bhagat, secured second position. The name of the third position holder will be announced later.

In B.A (hons), mass communication, part-III, semester examination of 1999, Mohammad Saleem, son of Muhram Ali Shaikh, secured first position and Mukesh Kumar, son of Sudham Chand, secured second position. The name of the third position holder will be announced later.

POLICE EXCESSES: The Anjuman Khanzada Rajput, Pakistan, has condemned police excesses against the Khanzada community of Tharushah, Naushahro Feroze district, and demanded an impartial inquiry into the matter.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the central president of the Anjuman, Mohammad Mateen Khanzada, demanded the immediate removal of the SHO, Tharushah, Liaquat Abbasi, and Inspector Qasim Solangi.
