ISLAMABAD, Oct 20: Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has said he is satisfied with the operational preparedness of the army and urged field commanders to focus on training of those under their command.
In his opening remarks at the formation commanders’ conference on Thursday, he praised the military and stabilisation operations being carried out in Fata to restore and sustain peace.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Gen Kayani also praised relentless rescue and relief efforts by troops during the Labbaik-II operation in flood-affected areas of Sindh.
The two-day conference is being attended by corps commanders, principal staff officers and formation commanders who were given comprehensive briefings on external and internal security situation in the country.
Various professional matters were also discussed at the conference.
