LARKANA, Nov 13: Mahota police on Wednesday arrested two of the 11 alleged killers of the noted Sindhi short story writer and TV playwright and his young son.

The arrests were made after registration of an FIR against 11 persons nominated in the murder case.

Mohammed Saffar alias Malik Aghani, and his son, Tanveer, were shot dead on Tuesday in Aghani village, which is some 13 kilometres away from Larkana.

Both the father and son were buried in their ancestral graveyard late Tuesday night.

The SHO of Mahota police station, Abdul Nabi Rind, said that Paras Ali Aghani had lodged FIR against Gulshan, Angan, Hussain, Hameed, Hazar Khan, Rafique, Liaquat, Wahid Bakhsh, Uris, Altaf and Alidino (all belonging to the Aghani clan).

The SHO said that Gulshan and Rafique had been arrested while others were still at large.
