HYDERABAD, Nov 13: The regional police officer, Hyderabad region, Abdur Rauf Yousufzai, has forfeited two years service of SI Sher Bahadur Afridi and one year service of SI Wazeer Ali Babber, Hali Road police station.

The punishments were awarded to the police officials for their failure to control crime at an “orderly room” held here on Tuesday.

SI Nazimuddin, who had earlier been placed under suspension for failing to recover a kidnapped student, Suresh Kumar, was transferred to the Tharparkar district.

One year service of SI Sher Khan of the Sanghar district was forfeited as he had failed to investigate cases in a proper manner.

The appeals of ASI Nasir Khan of Hyderabad and ASI Malik Mohammad of Dadu district, whose services of two years and one year respectively had been forfeited earlier, were rejected.

The appeals of police constable Arib of Badin district and police constable Nawab Ali, whose services were terminated for remaining absent from duty for long periods, were also rejected.

Meanwhile, Yousufzai said during the ongoing campaign against criminals, the Hyderabad district police had arrested one criminal and recovered one pistol and two cartridges, the Dadu police arrested eleven absconders and one criminal and recovered one rifle and two cartridges, the Thatta police arrested one criminal and recovered one pistol and two cartridges, the Badin police arrested one absconder, two criminals and recovered two pistols, three bullets and three cartridges, the Mirpurkhas police arrested two criminals and the Sanghar district police arrested two absconders and six criminals and recovered four pistols, one rifle, one revolver, one gun, thirteen cartridges and ten bullets.
