Rahnuma, a student based charity organisation, held a cake auction on Thursday to raise funds for its home schooling initiative.

The event took place at the Nusserwanji Courtyard at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) with around 50 students and a few teachers participating. The cakes being auctioned were special cakes made for Rahnuma by the home-based bakery Cakeoholic.

Cakeoholic will add a special fudge cake to its menu, with all sales going towards Rahnuma.

The first cake was auctioned at Rs.1000 and won by Hamir Soomro a teacher at IVS for Rs.2,000. The second cake was won by a student Sara Muhammad Ali for Rs.1,550.

Rahnuma has also raised funds for flood victims in Sindh as well as for families affected by bombings and killings in Sindh.
